Night Out

Well, it has been well over a year since I went out dancing last… I used to go out at least once a week. I don’t drink when I go out. I don’t go out to pick up guys (though sometimes the view is nice). I go out to dance, for the fun of it and for the exercise.

I was only out for an hour last night, but considering I haven’t danced in over a year, I think it was ample time. I look forward to going out again. I need the exercise and I love that exercise. It is much more fun than going to the gym.

The place I went is called “Crocodile Rock”, the last song they played…. yup, you guessed it. The only people dancing to it (because they had turned the lights on) were the drunk white people. My sister and I had a good laugh. Mostly because they weren’t so good with the dancing… even when the lights were off. There were some interesting looking folks out last night.
There was the lady with the bright yellow shirt and teased hair. The woman dancing on the bar with leather-like skin, who’s breasts looked to be visiting her belly button. The man who kept tossing his sport coat over his shoulder, “Don Johnson” style. The short balding guy who was really bustin-a-move. The chick with the fur purse slung across her chest, so that the purse was to her back and rubbing on my sister’s arm. Of course, the many men and woman stepping on our feet as they pushed past us…

We stopped at Tim Horton’s on the way home and a couple came in, they were interesting looking too. Well, at least the woman was. Frizzy blonde hair, and an interesting looking top that was black & had a weird fluorescent pattern on it. It covered the left shoulder, then had a purple mesh fabric for the right shoulder. She was also wearing some interesting looking ‘re-newed’ style granny boot. It was weird and we had a good laugh.

It’s been a long time since I’ve been out. Last night was a short night, we went out late, but that was a good thing for my knees. I look forward to working up my knees to be able to dance for longer periods without being in major pain the next day. My entire body aches after last night, but its a good pain.
